Four weeks in retrospect

Nearly four weeks ago I caught a flight out of Sydney to Amsterdam, and the intervening weeks have been jam-packed with workshops, papers, discussions, trains, friends and more planes. Highlights included:

  • The Capacity-Character Project workshop in Delft was a fabulous success. It spawned papers, research collaboration ideas, and countless conversations and new friends and colleagues.
  • The Enhancing Responsibility project group made solid progress over several days worth of meetings and working bees. The legal and philosophical arms of the project are already producing research output, and the first psychology survey will soon be rolled out. Stay tuned for presentation and publication details. And it was so cool to spend time working closely with and getting to know better Hannah, Filippo, Nadira and Imogen.
  • Finally, I had a totally awesome time catching up with Bjørn & Sabine, Stephan, Saskia, Paul & Jenny, Gerben and his family and Ilina. If your name is missing it’s not because I don’t love you but because I’m writing this at Heathrow airport, with my thoughts scattered by boarding calls and announcements.

Speaking of which, that’s my call to board the BA015 to Sydney via Singapore — see you in 24 hrs on the other side of the globe!
